Todd Palin Endorses Gingrich
I may be nuts, but I may not be. Todd Palin endorsed Newt Gingrich this week. I think we’re seeing the beginning of a set up.
Newt Gingrich is not going to be the nominee. No one believes he can get it. In fact of everyone in the race I think he has amongst the worst chances of being the nominee.
Mitt Romney will be the nominee.
The evangelical wing of the GOP is not going to be happy with a Mormon nominee (it’s technically apostasy after all). The only part of the GOP that actually likes Mitt is the big business folks.
If the Romney wing of the GOP wins the presidency Sarah Palin will be marginalized.
If Palin becomes less relevant her honorarium will go down. As she earns her living as a celebrity that is bad.
But…
If after the GOP convention in Tampa Sarah Palin announces that in order to save America from a choice between RINO like Romney (whom she does not support) and Obama (who is a obviously a Kenyan socialist) she has decided to run as a 3rd party candidate. If you read her earlier announcement she did not say she was not running for president, she said she was not running for the GOP nomination. If Palin does this she’ll immediately be the focus of all attention. By skipping the nominating process she’ll have skipped vetting (again). She doesn’t need a ton of money for media, they put her on for free.
She won’t win the election, but she might win a state like Kansas. If the election is close (say Obama 267, Romney 268, Palin 3, in the electoral college) she will be enormously powerful because Romney will owe his presidency to her.
Most importantly her honorarium will triple.
I might be wrong, but if I am not then Todd Palin’s endorsement is the hook.
